Ahrradweg
Radfahren
Cyclists get their money’s worth with the Ahrtal Cycle Path. From the fountain to the mouth, the Ahr meanders its way through the valley and leads its visitors through the varied landscape – from the heights of the Eifel to the Rhine Valley.
The 85 km long tour starts in Blankenheim, where the wilful tributary of the Rhine has its source, and ends at the mouth of the river Ahr near the Barbarossa city of Sinzig, travelling right through the middle of the red wine paradise of the Ahrtal. Recreational cyclists can handle the cycle path effortlessly. In the upper part of the Ahrtal, the road is used a couple of times, but an extension of the cycle track is in planning and will soon be finished in Altenahr.
